Just after school got out, my brother Garrick, his wife Deyce, and little 18 month old Logan came to visit us for a long Memorial Day weekend. We had a blast! We love when family comes to visit us. We kept busy going to the beach, walk at Turkey Creek, boat ride, Sea World, sea turtle watching and more. Jake and Sydney loved playing with their little cousin Logan and thought he was hilarious!

Going sea turtle watching was a highlight for all of us. We had some friends of ours that have lived here forever show us the technique. It was the season for sea turtles to come up and lay their eggs. I forget what amazing things we don't take advantage of sometimes around here. We will definitely be going every year now, though. It was amazing! We were out on the beach from about 9 PM to after 11 PM sometime. We saw lots of sea turtles and were able to watch the whole process take place. We stayed away from them until they were safely starting to lay their eggs so we wouldn't scare them away. After that, Jake and Sydney had their little heads right up to their rear watching it take place. Mike started taking pictures at that point too. Here are some shots he captured. They aren't all of the same turtle, but pretty much show the process.
Digging their hole and laying eggs. Couldn't believe how huge these turtles were!!

Laying eggs!

And heading out back out to the water after the tiring process.

Okay, so I'm a little late on this post, obviously. Lol. :) But... how cool to see the sea turtles laying their eggs! Wow. And you got some sweet pics, too!
