I can't believe Sydney is in the 2nd grade. Time flies!!! She LOVES school this year. We scored big time on her teacher - one of her favorite teachers yet!! As usual, she is a great little student who is always happy and having fun.

One of her school projects for Social Studies was to build something out of a box that would go in an urban area. All the kids brought them to school and built a city in their classroom. She decided she wanted to build a Braves baseball stadium. I tried to convince her to build a fire station or a post office or something easy. She definitely wouldn't take my suggestion. When she thought of an urban area, she thought of a baseball stadium. Obviously you know what we did when we lived in Atlanta!! So.... her and Mike worked on it for days. They had fun working on it together using popsicle sticks for bleachers, stickers for fans, and more. She was very proud.

Classroom Thanksgiving Feast. We both joined her for a full Thanksgiving feast with her classmates and other parents.
At the class Thanksgiving feast, the class sang "Over the River & Through the Woods". Sydney accompanied them on the piano (her idea). We didn't know she was going to do it. She just told us she had a surprise for us.

SECOND GRADE??? Before you know it, you'll be standing guard on the front porch trying to keep the boys away! She's beautiful and has heart of gold.
