Celebrating Mike's Birthday at Disney's Fort Wilderness

Mike's birthday was on October 1st. We celebrated by going to Fort Wilderness camping at Disney. We had a blast. It was more like resort style camping. We mostly just played around Fort Wilderness. There are lots of free activities to choose from there - swimming, arts and crafts, hula hoop contests, limbo, fishing, canoeing, playground, basketball, tennis, tether ball, and more. We also hit a few Disney Parks just for a bit. We are still using our Disney World season passes and loving every minute of it. They expire in March.

Happy Birthday Mike!!

Setting up the tent and enjoying the water slides!!

It was a very relaxing weekend!!

In the evening, they had a campfire lighting with Chip and Dale. We brought marshmallows to roast. After the fire lighting, they had a camp fire sing along for the kids and then showed a Disney movie outside to watch. They loved it.

There was a hula hoop contest down by the pool. Sydney took 2nd place for her age bracket. Here is some video below. The rule was they could let the hula hoop drop once, but on the 2nd time they were out. She did great. Mike and the kids talked me into joining the contest, too. They really had to push me. I was in the age 14 and up bracket - and, thank you very much, I won! Brought home the grand prize of a board game:)
