Idaho and Utah Summer Vacation 2011

We had a great time visiting family over the summer. Visiting grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles is at the top of Sydney and Jake's list of things they love.  They were busy keeping entertained every second.  We have amazing families!!

PETERSON FAMILY

We were able to see my whole entire family.  The kids kept busy simply playing outside.  Their favorite thing was probably playing night games every night - especially the game Fugitive.  They basically run free through town trying to find each other.  Only in small town Idaho can you experience that kind of freedom:)  The kids were so busy with cousins that I hardly got any pictures with grandparents and aunts and uncles.  Below are some of the memories we made.

Mike helped the kids make dry ice bombs in the back yard.  Leave it to Mike to cause trouble!!!

 Cousins - Sydney(9) with Makenna(10), Maddy(8), and Kambree(7)

My whole family went on a hike in Sundance, Utah.  It was so beautiful.  Ended at a waterfall.  Everyone survived and did great - even Grandpa Peterson!!

Only in Idaho to you walk through the drive through to get an ice cream cone.  I don't know if they appreciated it, but the kids had to try it out.

We spent the day at Bear Lake digging in sand, floating around and riding jet skiis.  My nephew Kade(11) took Mike for a good ride.  He threw him off the back of the jet skii and Mike chipped all his front teeth.  We can never leave without Mike getting hurt in some way:)

Baby Lexy                         Jake with Kyle and Logan(2)

These four girls never left each other's side.  It is constant fun.  The picture on the right is of them hiding in the trunk (yes, under Grandpa's watch).  Sleepovers every night on the right.

We went to Minnetonka Cave (LOTS OF STAIRS).  I hadn't been there since I was a young girl.  It was really neat.  The kids loved it.  It was cold inside.  The picture on the left is the view from the top where the cave entrance was.  The picture on the left is of Jake in the cave.

Those of us that ventured into the cave.

We helped my mom and dad paint their house!!  Hopefully we didn't mess it up too much:)

WEATHERSPOON FAMILY

After visiting my side of the family, we headed over to Clifton, Idaho to visit Mike's family.  The fun continued.  We weren't able to see all of Mike's family, but we did get to see a lot.  It was a lot of fun seeing everyone.  Once again, more cousins!!

We rented a cabin in Oxford up in the mountains with everyone. The kids enjoyed being outside and getting really dirty.  Roasting marshmallows every night, playing capture the flag, playing baseball, and board games kept the kids busy.

Grandma and Grandpa's garden was probably one of Sydney's favorite things.  She was eating out of it all the time.  It is a beautiful garden.
Mike and Jake playing catch.  There's not a lot to do in this small town. So playing outside and just relaxing is always nice.
Jake and Sydney love raspberries just like me.  We were out eating raspberries off the bush every chance we could get.

Kaylee and Sydney (just a few months apart in age)

All the cousins across the street from Grandma and Grandpa Weatherspoon's house at the playground.
Jake and Ashley - He loved her!!              Greg and Ivan - Cute 3 year old twin cousins
