Jake played in a summer basketball league for the first time. Mike helped coach of course. They had fun together.
Jake has these little mini baseball helmets of all the teams in the Major League. He has them lined up in their divisions and keeps them in order of their rankings each week. He is a very interesting little 6 year old boy.
We have yet to experience a hurricane since we have lived in Florida. However, Hurricane Irene was a few hundred miles out in the ocean and it was interesting to go down to the beach and see how angry the ocean waves were. It was eroding the beach and these little sea turtles couldn't get back out. There was a lady there rescuing them.
Our neighbor's, The O'Malley's, invited us to go camping at Disney's Fort Wilderness. We met them for just one night. That is about all the camping we can handle. The kids had a lot of fun. It is definitely resort style camping. The highlight is that Buddy got to come with us. He was a much better dog than we had expected.
Sydney dressed Jake and Buddy up for the 4th of July with some bandannas that were sitting around the house. Poor Buddy!!
I don't know what we would do without this great dog!!!!
