Sydney's 8th Birthday

Sydney turned 8 years old on January 18th. There were lots of festivities around her birthday this year. She had a friend birthday party, family birthday party, and she was baptized. She enjoyed it all of it!!

The weekend before her birthday, she had a girls only (except for Jake of course) birthday party. It was a pajama party (not slumber party). We made pajama T-shirts, ate pizza, danced, and painted fingernails and toenails. Lexy, one of the teenage girls I work with at church came with one of her friends and did the toenails and fingernails. They had a blast. A houseful of girls makes for lots of squealing and giggling.

Singing Happy Birthday!

Playing freeze dance. Their idea.

Grandma and Grandpa Peterson and and her aunt Jackie were here for her birthday. Grandma and Grandpa took us to Texas Rhodehouse to eat. The waitresses sang to her, which she thought was fun.

After dinner, we came home and opened her presents. Can't believe she is already 8 years old. Time sure does fly!
