Mike has been training for the Disney Marathon over the past year. It was at the beginning of January. The kids also ran in the kids race that weekend and felt proud to get a medal like daddy. I couldn't believe Mike actually went and ran it, because he was pretty sick the day of the race. He had a really bad chest cold. He wanted to finish his goal of running it, though, so he threw all goal times out the window and just focused on being able to finish the marathon. It was hard for him with the bad cough, but he still did it. Amazing!! It was not typical Florida weather the morning of the race - rain and upper 20s at start time. The rain held off for the run, but it was cold. The kids and I weathered the cold so we could see him a few times during the run. We are super proud of him!!
