Christmas 2009

We stayed in Florida for Christmas this year. It was a fun Holiday with just the four of us at home. We relaxed and played a lot.

Leading up to Christmas, we were in charge of a neighborhood toy drive. It was highly successful. Jake's bedroom was taken over for a month by toys, bikes, games, etc. to give to children for Christmas. Love our neighborhood. The response from everyone was great. Lots of giving people. Here is everything getting loaded up to drop off. The back seat of this truck is even full!!

Christmas morning in new pajamas

Opening presents from Santa and playing with them all morning. The Wii was the biggest surprise. We've had some competitive family tournaments.

With my birthday on Christmas, we have double celebrating. So we decided to go to Orlando to the ICE exhibit at Gaylord Palms. We figured with the Florida sunshine, it would be good to go bundle up for a bit and play in the ice to have more of a Christmas feel. It was a great time!

Lots of great ice sculptures. Quite amazing!

All bundled up. Experiencing 9 degrees in Florida. The Santa is made out of colored ice.

More sculptures.

They had an ice slide. Video of the four of us enjoying it. We went quite a few times.

While in Orlando, we decided to use our season passes to go to the Christmas Parade and Christmas fireworks at Magic Kingdom.

Watching the parade.

Love the icicles on the palace at Christmas.
