Happy 9th Birthday Sydney!!
Sydney is still as amazing as ever at age 9. She has a heart of gold!!
One of the main things Sydney asked for her birthday was a cake made by Maddy Wright. Maddy is her 2nd grade teacher's daughter. She loves to bake. She is only in middle school and she made Sydney this cake. Sydney loved it!! It tasted great too. What a talented young girl. She even put it in a cute little box for Sydney. It made Sydney's day!
Sydney wanted to go to Fun Town for her birthday and go roller skating and play laser tag. We all had a fun time. Jake was shaky at first, but had it down by the end of the night. Sydney now officially loves roller skate.
Happy 6th Birthday Jake!!
I wanted to ask Jake questions and get it on video. However, by the time we went to do it on his birthday he started feeling sick. I'm sure if I would have asked him what he likes at age 6 he would have said baseball, baseball, baseball. Jake is a boy full of energy. He is reading like crazy and loves school. He spends his days outside. He is not much of an indoor kid. He adores his big sister. You can hear grandma and grandpa Peterson in the background. They were skyping with us when we sang to him.
For Jake's birthday he wanted to go miniature golfing and bat in the batting cages. He knows he is going to play T-Ball but is so excited to play machine pitch baseball the following year. He was full of energy when playing golf and baseball. As soon as we got in the car, Jake started to feel sick and that's when the fever hit. At least he got to have fun for awhile. Everything is competitive with Jake so this was one serious miniature golf game.
Jake ordered a Ben & Jerry's ice cream cake. It was so yummy! He didn't eat any this night as he didn't feel good. The rest of us enjoyed it. He ate it a few days later. The baseball cookies around the cake are what he took into his kindergarten class. Yes, he is obsessed with baseball right now!
And this is what both Sydney and Jake got for their birthdays this year. Power Wings! They love them!
